The Story
Six Senses Shaharut sits on nearly 46 acres in Israel's Negev Desert, its 60 suites and villas built from rough stone, timber, and plaster that echo the surrounding landscape. Since opening in 2021, the property has become a benchmark for desert hospitality in the region — anchored by Midian, its Mediterranean and Israeli restaurant, and Edom View, serving Middle Eastern mezze and Israeli barbecue, alongside a full Six Senses Spa and the property's Earth Lab, dedicated to sustainability and conservation.
This shoot moves between the scale of the desert — camel and jeep safaris, hiking trails, the vastness of the Arava landscape — and the quiet intimacy of the villas at dusk. As a resort and lifestyle photographer, desert properties like Shaharut present a particular challenge: capturing a landscape this vast without losing the human, lived-in feeling of the rooms themselves.
